19 weeks

only ONE more week until we get to see our little one again and find out the gender!
I think I can make it.
It did cross my mind earlier this week though to call the doctor's office and beg to be switched to today. They said at our last appointment that they could do the anatomy scan any time after 18 weeks and some odd days, but we decided to wait until the full 20 to be sure.  Ugh. darn that Lee and his patience corrupting me.

So another week it is and unfortunately that makes for a very boring update this week.

Are you tired of hearing me say nothing has really changed?
Well, nothing much has changed.
I may have pulled a muscle in my stomach region though, so that's... uncomfortable at times.

It was dumb.
I was laying/sitting on my side, halfway on my bed plugging my phone in and I got a comment on instagram so I checked it, while remaining in that awkward position.  Well "checking" instagram turned into a couple minutes and when I was done I jumped up from the bed and started walking away..... but then was quickly reminded that I was pregnant and those muscles in my stomach are not exactly the same and got a horrible shooting pain in my stomach.  It doubled me over for a good minute.
I of course was convinced that I had done something awful and permanently damaging to my baby or myself. - and it was the night that Lee was in Columbus for his interview, so I was home alone. awesome.
It subsided pretty quickly and has since remained only an annoying dull pain when I turn certain ways.
Lesson learned - no more jumping up from seated positions.

I have been working on some small projects for the nursery that can be used boy or girl :)
I change my mind about every 5 minutes about what exactly I want to do in there, but for now I have settled on no theme and instead on colors.  All the colors basically.
It's going to be black, white, and bright.
I have a black and white rug and a couple other little things, like a white shelf, and white curtains. And I want to have really bright, like rainbow/primary colors everything else - pictures, toys, fabrics.  It'll be fun.
I couldn't pick a theme, I like way, way, way too many things to narrow it down.
But really... this baby's first room isn't going to be that great, as it will be a temporary 3-ish month room until we move for residency.  Then the real deal happens.
So for now they will share a room with the spare bed and Lee's desk area, but I don't think they will mind or remember, right?

Oh and want to hear something really funny?
I was at the Salvation Army looking at their one small rack of hideous, out of date maternity clothes... and on display at the end of the rack was the most decent dress they had, so I picked it up to look at the tag and it was really heavy and I realized that attached to the hanger on the inside of the dress was a garbage bag. Inside that garbage bag was a basketball - aka the baby bump.
hahahaha it was the best.  I wish I'd taken a picture.
