As I said in my 2 week post, Houston is still the absolute sweetest/easiest baby! He nurses really well! He is sleeping great. And he very rarely ever cries.
He is getting so strong! He loves to sit up on Lee's chest and prop his arms up and hold his head up. Like Leo was, he seems to be in a hurry to grow up and get past this baby stuff :(
He likes tummy time and moves his head from side to side easily and even scoots himself around!
He is definitely a second baby because we have been getting out of the house and doing so much, much earlier than we did with Leo! With Leo it was so cold in MI that we waited and didn't do a whole lot. Other than the doctor Leo didn't go anywhere for the first 2 weeks and then at almost 3 weeks he and I went to the grocery and thrift store together, haha. He didn't go to church until he was 3 weeks old.
Houston on the other hand went to Love Boat Ice Cream at 6 days old, church at 1 week old, to Target at 1.5 weeks, and I've lost count as to where else he's been since! He's been to a birthday party, play dates, bible study, grocery shopping, restaurants, the park several times...
The day before he turned 3 weeks old he had his first dip in the pool and at 3.5 weeks he went to the beach for the first time! He loves the water and tolerates the heat really well. He truly is a Florida baby!
He's been sleeping pretty well, I can't really complain there. A typical night for us looks like -
Sleep 8pm-12pm, up again at 3am, up at 5am, and up at 6:30am.
He's gone as long as 4.5 hours at night, which is great! I hope we continue this pattern of stretching longer and longer...
During the day he's been having several hours of wakefulness. Usually in the mornings and evening, while sleeping all afternoon long! Which is great because Leo naps from about 1-3 so I've had a few hours to myself here and there!
I don't know what else to say about this precious baby. He really has been such a blessing to our family and we love him so so much!
