33 weeks 2 days

Fridays are almost always impossible for me to post!  We are such busy people!  This weekend we're in Canada celebrating Baby Coghill with Lee's family and friends!  We had a really nice shower yesterday with some cute decor and food that I'll post pictures of someday, still haven't posted my Ohio shower... but I'll get to it someday promise!  It was so nice to see a lot of the people we care about from up here and for them to come out and show us and our baby some love.  We're really blessed people with wonderful people in our lives where ever we go.  Ohio, West Virginia, Grenada, Michigan, Canada.... and who knows where next!

Unfortunately it doesn't look like things are going to slow down anytime between now and when this baby makes his arrival!
Next weekend we have a doctor's appointment, a dinner with work, an 8 hour baby class (since our weekly 2 hr classes got canceled and they decided to do it ALL day on a Saturday) and a baby shower at our church here in Michigan!
The weekend after that we are planning on going down to Ohio to where all my aunts and uncles live to visit and my mom and sister are coming up to meet us.  This will be the last time I get to see my sister and her 3 girls for potentially years!  At the end of February they are moving to Germany for 4 years!  I of course have plans to go visit them next year while my little one is still a lap child, but we'll see how finances and Lee's schedule works out for that plan.... but still at the very least it'll be way over a year before I see them again!  My baby will be walking?!  So sad.
Then the weekend after that we are heading to Florida for the second look at a residency program - God willing and the creeks don't rise. haha.  Have you ever heard that expression?  I just wanted to say it.  A little glimpse into the things people in Southen Ohio say.   But really, if I'm able I'm getting on that plane and going!

Theeeeen the weekend after that I'll be 37 weeks pregnant and I really hope and pray things slow down so I can do some serious nesting and relax before this baby. Not to mention I'll be continuing to work full time until February 27th and am taking two master's classes this term that I at some point plan on fitting in some extra work so I can get ahead in case the baby comes early.

This week I've been feeling really good, I just feel really large.  I'm starting to notice it in my face I think.  I've always had a bit of a double chin, lol, just a genetic blessing from my mom's side of the family and now that there actually is some extra fat in there it is even more noticeable... awesome.  I'm also holding true to the fact that the camera adds 10lbs, right? :)  My friend Sara took some maternity pictures for us recently and I'm excited to see them and how I look when an actual photographer takes pictures of a pregnant me because I haven't been doing such a great job. lol.

As for today, I am somehow still wearing non maternity clothes to church this morning.  Jeans and a longer shirt that I've had for a couple years so yay for that!  My belly is just sticking out further and further ;)  But that is happy because it means my sweet little one is growing and getting ready to come into the world and meet us!  I am so ready to see his face!

a picture I took before church this morning

FORGIVENESS OF SINS?

Did God give mankind manifold options to have their sins forgiven?

The birth of the church of Christ was on the Day of Pentecost. What occurred on that day?

1.The apostle Peter preached Jesus, His death, His burial, and His resurrection. (Acts 2:22-35)
2. Peter stated God had made Jesus both Lord and Christ and that they were responsible for Jesus being crucified.(Acts 2:36)
3. The crowd asked Peter and the rest of the apostles what they should do. (Acts 2:37)

What was Peter's answer? Keep in mind these men had already believed that Jesus was Savior, Lord, and the Christ.

Did Peter give them this list of choices?

1. Did Peter say, "Repent and say the sinners prayer and you will have your sins forgiven and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit?"
2. Did Peter say, "You do not have to do anything thing to be saved, you were saved the very moment you believed, your sins are forgiven?"
3. Did Peter say, "Repent and be baptized because your sins have been forgiven?"
4. Did Peter say, "You were added to the body of Christ the minute you believed, however, in order to join the local church you must be baptized in water?"
5. Did Peter say, "Repent and be baptized as an example to the community?"
6. Did Peter say,"It is written that men are saved by faith only, water baptism is a good work?"
7. Did Peter say, "Water baptism is just an act of obedience, and it has nothing to do with forgiveness of your sins?"
8. Did Peter say, "The thief on cross was not baptized and he was saved; therefore you can have your sins forgiven without being baptized?"
9. Did Peter say, "You have to be baptized in order join a denominational church, however, you can get into heaven by faith only?"
10. WHAT DID PETER SAY? Acts 2:38 Peter said to them, "Repent and each of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.(NASB)

The apostle Peter was not offering multiple ways to have sins forgiven.

Faith: John 3:16
Repentance: Acts 2:38
Confession: Romans 10:9-10
Water Baptism: Acts 2:38
ALL ARE ESSENTIAL FOR SALVATION!
