Saturday was the 24th annual Grenada Triathlon and I am so happy that I stepped out of my comfort zone to take part!
I didn't know anyone else running, Lee wasn't able to go with me, and I hadn't been running regularly.... so why not go run a 5k with a bunch of strangers?!
I ended up knowing quite a few people there, this island is small.
The Montessori school entered a lot of students in the kids triathlon and it was so fun to watch! I can't wait to put my kids in a triathlon. lol.
I didn't run a triathlon, just incase you were wondering, just a 5k.
I'm always telling Lee that I can get up and run a 5k any time I want without any training... and I proved it! and I'm old! It felt a little different than it did when I was running in high school...
I'm thinking about running the Veterans Memorial 5k when I go home this month.... but I don't want to go to the parade all hot and sweaty... so I'll have to figure that out. Everyone knows the parade is a fashion event. :)
Yea so I ended up getting 2nd place female!! I was the only white girl running, which I thought was funny, and probably only in my age groups... some high school students & a few ladies older than me... and I beat several boys! ha!
